Dow Jones & Co. has released its better- than-expected fourth quarter and year end 1999 results showing a 9.8 per cent increase in revenues on a pro forma basis to $2.06 billion for all of 1999. This compares to $1.9 billion in 1998. Revenue for the fourth quarter of 1999 rose by 19.3 per cent to $586.7 million (including Dow Jones' 50 per cent share of Factiva, a joint venture with Reuters) compared to the same period the year before.
