The growing trend toward shorter clearing and settlement cycles has raised the profile of reference data, symbology and security identification, according to a report issued last week by the Financial Information Services Division (FISD) of the Software and Information Industry Association. However, vendors are becoming more aware of the importance of reference data quality, which has led to new initiatives in the market.
