Users Seek Options To Bypass Bloomberg Limits On Downloads

LONDON--Following Bloomberg's decision a few weeks ago to impose a limit on the amount of data that can be downloaded by European users of Open Bloomberg, disgruntled users are now looking for ways around the issue. The London-based Information Providers User Group (IPUG) is also in the midst of setting up a meeting between the vendor and the user firms it represents.

The uproar centres around Bloomberg's decision to limit downloads to 1,000 fields of one instrument type and 2,000 fields of mixed
