LSE Using Microsoft for Data Systems

The London Stock Exchange (LSE) is migrating its downstream systems to Microsoft technologies and may move others onto Microsoft as well, says David Lester, chief information officer (CIO) for the exchange. The projects are part of the LSE’s efforts to lower costs and generate revenue.
The LSE has already implemented technology from Microsoft, including Microsoft Windows Server 2003, to build a real-time data engine and a corporate data warehouse, among other systems (IMD, April 28).
