New Management System From Mainstream Data Available For Macintosh

As data vendors seek to offload network services to third parties, at least one network service provider is looking to move into front-end applications.

Salt Lake City-based Mainstream Data Inc. has developed an Apple Computer Inc. Macintosh-based application to allow users to receive, filter, store and display news stories from several news feeds. Called Mainstream Newscast, the filtering package manages news delivered over Mainstream's FM-sideband and satellite networks.
