Devin Wenig of RI Asserts That Reuters Will Be an XML Company

NEW YORK--Devin Wenig, managing director of marketing for Reuters Information, is enthusiastic about the Extensible Markup Language (XML) and its uses for Reuters, he tells Inside Market Data in an exclusive interview.

"We are very seriously looking at, and adopting, XML. It’s a great opportunity for us to lead the standard. Reuters will be an XML firm," says Wenig.

He says that there will be four things XML will revolutionize: mediation between heterogeneous databases; distributed computing
