Merrill Lynch Holds Global Data Summit; Euro, Y2K Key Issues As Major Vendors Schmooze

LONDON: Merrill Lynch & Co. held its global market data summit here two weeks ago. The event follows a similar one in February which brought together market data managers from all global divisions within Merrill Lynch who were entertained by representatives from key market data vendors.
The main internal issues on the agenda for the conference included the euro, Year 2000 and inventory systems. The firm is collecting information on these topics as part of its efforts to coordinate activities
