Thomson Corp.
has extended its bid for Primark to Aug. 30. The previous close date was Aug. 4. So far, Thomson has taken up 80 percent of Primark’s outstanding shares.Reuters
experienced a problem with its contribution network on Aug. 1 that resulted in traders in at least two banks being unable to trade swaps. It is unclear how long traders were without data, as versions of the event differ. A spokesperson for Reuters says that there was a delay of only a few minutes, while a competitor saysOnly users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
