Industry Set For Increase In Data Volumes, Says SIA, Due To Decimalization

NEW YORK--Wall Street's move to decimal pricing--planned for June 2000--has many industry participants concerned about capacity issues. A recent study published by the Securities Industry Association (SIA) addresses some of the issues decimalization will bring up for US stock markets, brokerage firms and investors.
The report, titled The Impact of Decimal Pricing on the US Equities and Options Markets, which was prepared by Arlington, Va.-based SRI Consulting, claims that the move from pricing
