Lack of Data Hampers SAFE-DJ Index

SAFE and Dow Jones signed a memorandum of understanding in January to create a unified regional index to promote South Asia as an investment destination. The deadline for receiving historical data from all participating exchanges was May 15, but the Dhaka, Maldives and Nepal stock exchanges failed to provide the required data by the deadline, according to SAFE secretary general Aftab Ahmad Chowdhury.
