Compustat Adds China Company Data

Standard & Poor's is adding fundamental data on Chinese listed companies to its Comp ustat database to meet demand for Chinese data from Asian investors, and to round out its Far East offering.

The data covers China's 1,400 listed companies, sourced from Beijing-based TX Investment Consulting, which S&P partnered with last June. The full set of data should be available via S&P's Comp ustat Xpressfeed and Research Insight products this month, says Richard Rose, director of international investment
