Markit Preps Global Index With IIC, CDSI

The acquisitions will increase Markit's breadth in North America, Europe and Asia, and provide the assets required to support a global index, officials say. Central ownership of global indexes will create greater incentives for trading across markets, says Kevin Gould, executive vice president of data products and analytics at Markit in New York.
