Dark Pools on the March

By mixing institutional and retail order flow, these venues have been able to bump up their liquidity levels compared to their previous generation counterparts, but it's not going to be enough to keep them all viable. Expect to see a number of these begin to fold.

I'm not completely down on the general concept of dark pools, however. I learned while attending the annual FX Week USA event last week that the foreign exchange (FX) market seems primed to see a few dark pools pop up in the near future
