FSA Mulls MTF Oversight

Beginning Nov. 1, HMT will extend Stamp Duty relief for intermediaries to a regulated market, regardless of the intermediaries' exchange membership. This will also include all trades, including over-the-counter (OTC) trades, say HMT officials. HMT is also considering similarly amending the relief for shares that are admitted to trading on MTFs, such as the London Stock Exchange's (LSE's) AIM market and Plus Markets Group's secondary markets, HFT officials say.
