ISE Readies VPN Connection, Terminals

The International Securities Exchange has scrapped its plans to provide a Web-based datafeed in favor of delivering it via a Virtual Private Network, officials say.

The original plans for a Web-based feed would have meant developing two front-ends for its Click trader workstation: a Web version and a terminal version. The VPN solution, which will be a cheaper but also lower volume solution than the traditional T1 connection, will allow clients to use the same
