As expected, Allianz Investment Co. has opted to install Thomson Financial Services Inc.'s Portia portfolio management system at 25 positions in its fixed-income department. The system--slated to go live within six months, following a move to new offices in Westport, Conn.--will run on DOS-based PCs. The installation will feature a software interface that will allow Portia users to download Barra's Bond Analysis Services to the PCs.
