EBS: Matching Feature Is Problematic, But Has Not Caused Reported Losses

LONDON--EBS marked its sixth anniversary last month, but celebrations have been soured by allegations of major bank losses attributed to price matching delays caused by the automated matching system.

The EBS partnership, which currently consists of around 830 member institutions globally, has come under fire in press reports recently, claiming that banks have lost large sums of money in unmatched trades.
