Williamson: CFTC Thwarts Liffe Connect, Puts US, UK Markets At A Disadvantage

BOCA RATON--The chairman of the London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange (Liffe), Brian Williamson, has attacked the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), claiming the CFTC is taking a "discriminatory stance" against Liffe by not allowing the exchange to install its trading terminals in the US.

Williamson's comments were made at the recent Futures Industry Association Conference in Boca Raton, Fla.

Liffe's complaint centres around a recently-released CFTC document that
