Optimark Tests Its Connections And Gets Ready To Start In October

NEW YORK--There have been years of anticipation and marketing, many months of training, and if the next few weeks go according to plan, Optimark Technologies just might be ready to start trading in late October.
No precise date has been picked, says Optimark chief executive Bill Lupien. But he expects the trading system to meet a target date by then.
"It all depends on how we're doing testing the system," Lupien says. "If the testing goes well, we'll make that date. The biggest tests we're doing
