D2000-2 Tops 20,000 Trades Per Day; Reuters Asia Gets New Liquidity Chief

Reuters announced ten days ago that the average number of trades per day over its Dealing 2000-2 electronic FX matching service has topped 20,000 matches. That's double the average number that Reuters officials said D2000-2 had achieved in February. It's also approximately twice the highest daily matches reached by the system's closest rival, Electronic Broking Service.

Meanwhile, Reuters last month brought in Mike Stokes as regional coordinator for D2000-2 liquidity in Asia. Stokes is charged
