NYSE's FIX Engine To Accommodate XML, Future Industry Standards

NEW YORK--The New York Stock Exchange's FIX engine, which will be rolled out in three stages over the coming year, will feature built-in flexibility to accommodate other industry standards. While a plan to integrate FIX into the Common Access Point (CAP) with CMS is going forward, the NYSE wants to include XML and other protocols that may later be developed.
