New NEC/Mitsubishi Company Aims To Develop Screen Market Share

NEW YORK/TOKYO--NEC/Mitsubishi Electronic Displays of America (NMEDA), a joint venture recently formed between the flat-panel screen divisions of both NEC and Mitsubishi (TTW, July 3), intends to develop global market share with NEC’s Ambix universal connectivity.
Chris Connery, NMEDA product line manager says the two companies intend to maintain a leadership position in flat panel screens by incorporating the specialist strengths of Mitsubishi’s cathode ray tube (CRT) and NEC’s liquid crystal
