Nasdaq Modifies New Market Proposal, Moves Toward Market Maker Position

NEW YORK--Nasdaq announced that it will file a revised proposal for its next generation market system with the Securities Exchange Commission by early next week. The modifications were announced by Bill Broka, Nasdaq's senior vice president for trading and market services at a press conference here earlier this week.
