Instinet To Hold Back Fixed Income Platform Launch Until January

NEW YORK--Concerns about liquidity and Y2K code freezes have led to a decision by Instinet to hold back its new fixed income trading platform until the first quarter of 2000. Although there is some disagreement about the relative importance of each factor, sources within Instinet indicated that the planned "soft launch" was being postponed for this year.
