Bankers Trust Chief Technology Officer Vona To Leave; Bank Still Hunts For His Successor

CARMINE Vona, longtime chief technology officer at Bankers Trust, has set plans to leave the bank at the end of next month. George Vojta, a vice chairman and Vona's boss, will fill in as acting CTO until a replacement can be found.

Vona's plans were announced May 2 in an internal memorandum disseminated by Frank Newman, chairman of Bankers Trust. In the memo, Newmand said that Vona, who is 58, "has confirmed for me his long-standing intention to retire from the bank...".
