BEA Will Use Weblogic's App Server As Front End to Web-based Transactions
MIDDLEWARE & STP
LONDON--Almost two months after the San Jose, California-based middleware vendor BEA Systems acquired San Francisco-based Weblogic, BEA has laid the groundwork for Web applications that make use of BEA's transaction processing middleware.
BEA/Weblogic is part of a new division within BEA called WebXpress. One of the co-founders of Weblogic, Alfred Chuang, is the division's general manager. BEA/Weblogic took part in a recent developers' conference in London sponsored by Sun Microsystems.
