Bloomberg Taps Sun’s New Line of Servers; E10000 Problems ‘Behind Us’

NEW YORK--Sun Microsystems came to New York to officially roll out its new line of midframe servers this week. The new midframe Sun Fire servers, which have already been embraced by a number of financial services firms, including Bloomberg, are being pitched to exchanges and securities processing applications, says Steve Katzman, Sun’s global industry manager for securities and capital markets.
