Despite Negara's Earlier Blessing, Malaysian Ringgit Comes Off D2000-2

Reuters last week announced it would remove the Malaysian ringgit from its Dealing 2000-2 electronic broking service on June 24, honouring Bank Negara Malaysia's request to take it off the service, officials confirm. The move comes less than one month after Reuters put the ringgit on D2-2, with Negara's blessing. Neither Reuters nor Negara would offer an explanation for the bank's change of heart.
