Bea Systems Racks Up 80 Per Cent Revenue Gain; Profits Triple

SAN JOSE, CALIF.--The e-commerce frenzy is paying off for Bea Systems, the middleware company that has branched out to provide web-based applications and commerce servers.
Bea says that revenue for the first quarter ended April 30 rose 80 per cent to $153.7 million compared to the same period one year ago.
