Merrill Eyes AFIC Replication Server For Global Swaps Group

Merrill Lynch & Co. is piloting AFIC Technologies Inc.'s Multiple Server Option (MSO) database replication software system at its London office, and -- provided all goes well -- will extend the pilot to its offices in New York and Tokyo. The firm, which is evaluating MSO as part of a search for a database replication server to support its swaps trading operation, seeks a system that will incorporate back-up database capability.
