Reuters Modifies Dealing 2000-2 To Fight Small-Trade Syndrome

In an effort to encourage larger-sized trades on its Dealing 2000-2 electronic foreign-exchange order-matching service, Reuters has modified the matching window for dollar/Deutsche mark and dollar/yen prices.

According to Bob Etherington, marketing manager for transaction products at Reuters, the company has been experimenting with a double row of prices on the screen -- an upper, small-character row for amounts of $5 million and under, and a lower, large-character row for multiples of $5
