Savvis To Spend At Least $260 Million On Networks And Data Centers In 2000

RESTON, VA. --Savvis Communications Inc. will spend $160 million in 2000, compared with $25 million in 1999, as its expands its ATM network, upgrades its Internet network centers, and deploys remote access dialup equipment.

On top of that $160 million, Savvis will also buy a worldwide IP network from its parent Bridge Information Systems for at least $100 million, according to filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for Savvis’ initial public offering (IPO) of common stock.
