Desktop Data Acquires Former ADP Division To Add News Integration

BOSTON--Desktop Data has purchased the news filtering and distribution technology as well as acquired the systems integration staff from a former division of Automatic Data Processing's ADP Brokerage Services Group.

Desktop Data bought the division after ADP sold it back to its original owners. The unit will serve as Desktop Data's new professional services unit.

The former news integration arm of ADP was originally Investment Software Systems (ISS), which ADP purchased and renamed ADP/ISS in 1995
