IPE Launches EnergyLive: Web-Based Distribution Of Oil, Gas Futures Prices

LONDON: The International Petroleum Exchange (IPE) has introduced EnergyLive, a Web-based pricing service covering the exchange's oil and gas futures contracts. IPE, Europe's largest energy exchange, is the first major exchange to publish its own live prices on the Web. The new service utilizes push technology from UK-based Citynet.
EnergyLive uses Citynet's Rainbow, whose RTTP--or Real-time Trading Protocol--is among a number of push technologies seeking to establish themselves as the industry
