But, under the steady hand of its CEO, Tom Gavin, who joined the firm back in the late 1990s when it was still known as Eze Castle Software, the vendor has claimed not one but two front-office categories by winning the best buy-side order management system (OMS) and best execution management system (EMS) categories, which underlines the extent of its support across the buy side.

While the Eze OMS might not boast the largest number of implementations globally—that accolade is still held by Advent’s Moxy OMS, although with more than 500 buy-side clients on its roster, Eze is fast closing that gap—it supports a range of critical buy-side front-office functions, including portfolio modeling and analytics, compliance, trading, operations, and data management, across a broad range of asset classes and instruments.
