The Düsseldorf-based firm will use the platform to help generate risk reports in compliance with the European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR) and Regulation on Energy Market Integrity and Transparency (REMIT) mandates.

"Implementing [CubeIntelligence] should bring E.ON into a position to do trade reporting in a compliant manner for EMIR, as well as for REMIT, safely," said Peter Boldt, program manager for trade reporting at E.ON, in a statement.

According to the vendor, CubeIntelligence is used by over 20 energy-trading firms.

"Our clients can focus on business as usual, relying on CubeIntelligence to aggregate key data and report effectively in a format mandated by regulators, hence helping our clients ensure they are best prepared for the evolution in our markets," Harry Nota, head of energy for EMEA at OpenLink, said in a statement.
