Azul Partners with Simplex in Japan

tokyo-02
Tokyo-headquartered Simplex will promote Zing to its existing client base.

Simplex will include Azul's Java virtual machine Zing in its suite of offerings, whichh includes Simplex FX, Simplex Prism for derivatives trading, and Simplex Blast for equities and listed derivatives. The combination is aimed at a range of market practices such as algorithmic trading, risk measurement calculations such as credit valuation adjustment (CVA), and low-latency messaging.

"Before we signed an agreement with Azul Systems, we conducted a three-month Java benchmarking exercise to evaluate the effectiveness of Zing with our equities trading system," says Hidekazu Sugiura, Partner at Simplex Consulting. "Our findings concluded that Zing immediately reduces latency jitters with minimal tuning effort. Latency and Java application performance are business-critical issues for many of our customers, hence the strong interest in promoting Zing."
