Amid the slew of all-too-similar acronyms that represent some of the methods of filling an order open to a buy-side trader, it is easy to miss the least common in the usual lineup of direct market access (DMA), direct strategy access (DSA) and the like. Direct capital access (DCA) has been offered by a handful of brokers for some time now, but has managed to slip almost unnoticed under the radar.
