SEC, CFTC Propose Market Reforms After Record Intraday DJIA Drop

Following their first joint advisory meeting looking into the May 6 events that resulted in a near–1,000-point intraday drop in the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA), the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) are floating several possible market reforms, according to a release issued today.
