GLOBEX KICK OFF POISED FOR SUMMER 2000

The Globex Alliance, a partnership between six derivatives exchanges, is to begin cross-exchange electronic trading this summer. The Globex Alliance consists of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), Paris Bourse, the Singapore Derivatives Exchange, Brazil's Bolsa de Mercadorias & Futuros, and Canada's Montreal Exchange. All participants use the NSC electronic matching engine developed by Paris Bourse. Globex2, the CME's e-trading system, is based on NSC
