Nasdaq's Plan 'B'

It's good to see that Nasdaq Stock Market president and CEO Bob Greifeld has his appetite back. In the space of a week, Nasdaq has been linked to possible mergers with the Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX) and OMX, the operator of the Nordic Exchange.

If a tie-up with the London Stock Exchange (LSE) is not to be, Nasdaq should focus on a possible deal with OMX, as it would most likely provide the bigger bang for Nasdaq shareholders' buck.
