Reuters Prepares IBM-AT Version Of Monitor; Prototype Sports Microsoft Windows, Color, Mouse

Reuters Holdings is readying an IBM PC-AT implementation of its flagship Reuter Monitor service. A prototype seen at Reuters's U.S. headquarters in New York operates under Microsoft Windows with bit-mapped color graphics and mouse support, and provides access to the same range of market data available on the classic Monitor.

The system, while impressive, is actually a PC emulation of a dedicated device, the Advanced Reuter Terminal (ART), one of several new products expected this year as Reuters
