Nasdaq Introduces Closing Price
Nasdaq has launched the Nasdaq Official Closing Price (NOCP), which offers a validated primary market close. Only trade reports submitted within two seconds of the market close are included, which means any Nasdaq trade made at the market close can set the Nasdaq closing price. However, NOCP must be within Nasdaq’s best bid and ask quotations. NOCP is available through market data vendors. It is distributed at 4:01:30 pm ET. Prior to NOCP, Nasdaq did not designate
