ING, ABN Amro Outsource More Staff

OUTSOURCING AND OFFSHORING

LONDON—ING and ABN Amro are moving full-steam ahead with offshoring and outsourcing initiatives, keeping pace with similar efforts by Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, Credit Suisse and HSBC.

Late last week, ING signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to shift 350 employees to LogicaCMG, an IT services provider based in London. The contract, expected to be finalized by the end of the summer, will see ING outsource its IT application development, application maintenance and overall testing of IT
