I'm not aware of a single investment bank that is blaming its IT infrastructure for its multi-billion-dollar write-downs. However, few senior technologists will be resting on their laurels in this market.

Those in high demand will be the turnaround kings who can straighten out IT organizations and deliver the necessary transparency and risk management systems that their banks need to weather the current market.
