Bloomberg Allows Tweeting Directly Through Terminal

Users can tweet directly from Instant Bloomberg through new Social <Go> feature.

The New York-based technology giant has partnered with Twitter to come up with a way to allow subscribers to use the social media outlet in a secure and compliant way, the firm announced at the Bloomberg Markets Most Influential Summit.

Firms' compliance offers are now able to give permission to individual users to tweet and can monitor and archive communications through Social . Users can post directly from Instant Bloomberg, and tweets through Social will also appear on the terminal's Twitter newswire.

"Bloomberg is helping unlock the value of Twitter for corporate and financial professionals, while meeting the necessary high standards of communications compliance," said Ted Merz, global head of news and economics products at Bloomberg, in a statement.
