Caplin, OpenFin Partnership to Drive HTML5 Adoption

London-based Caplin Systems and OpenFin join forces on the HTML5 front.

User-firms will be able to license an integrated platform that combines Caplin Trader, a development suite for HTML5 trading front-ends, and the OpenFin App Desktop, an application container based on Google's Chromium open-source technology.

According to Caplin, the partnership addresses two challenges facing financial services developers when building HTML5 applications: Large numbers of end-users continue to use Internet Explorer browsers which are not HTML5 compliant, requiring applications
