SEB Gird for Nordic Fragmentation

The bank plans to enhance its UL Smart smart order router (SOR) from trading platform provider Ullink (DWT, April 30) with the addition of multilateral trading facilities (MTFs) Bats Europe and Nasdaq Europe, as well as unnamed dark liquidity pools later this year, says Christer Wennerberg, CTO of equity trading technology at SEB Merchant Banking.

Currently, the bank is a member of the Chi-X and Turquoise MTFs and it is one of the backers of recently launched Nordic MTF Burgundy (DWT, May 4).
