Analytics platform provider ActiveViam has released a new product featuring a Python layer around ActivePivot, its in-memory database.

Allen Whipple, co-founder and managing director at ActiveViam, says the Python layer will be an extension to ActivePivot, where everything that users can do in Java will be made available to do within Python. “We’re very close, but not quite there yet,” he says.

ActiveViam’s solutions allow firms to analyze large volumes of data and perform risk management
