CFTC SEF Rules Garner Mixed Reactions as Tech Picture Gets Clearer
On the much-discussed topic of request for quote (RFQ) processes, where the minimum number was lowered to two from five, potential SEF registrants were positive. Most, however, say it is important for the CFTC to revisit the area before the planned automatic increase to three RFQs per transaction in 12 months, which was the subject of a rejected amendment tabled by Commissioner Scott O'Malia.
